I FOUND MY HEAD - no, just a gum wrapper

I have been craigslisting, grunion gazetting, presstelegraming, offcampushousing.coming, and privatepropertymanagement-websiting MY FREAKING FACE OFF.

I need a break. All work and no play makes Meagan turn into Jack. I need an apartment - STAT!

When someone walks around upstairs, I seriously think, for a second, that there's another earthquake starting. It's ridiculous how loosely built this place is. Although, earthquakes really excite me, as any natural disaster does, so I'd be glad that one would start. I'm really interested in them. "Excite" isn't the right word.

I also think there's something in this water. It's either making me crazy, or it's making me paranoid...paranoid that there is something IN it, but IT is making me that crazy! It is responsible for something.

Do you ever become overwhelmed with the desire to throw away everything you own? I think I might do that tonight. Sit in the garage and just...throw it all away - you know, all that crap we (royal!) don't need. It'd be so lovely to have, like, 3 boxes, maybe, of crap, instead of the usual 293874.

I AM FEELING CRAZY RIGHT NOW HELP

I miss my old job at the funeral home, like, A LOT right now. It was so comfortable and live there. (SILLY, RIGHT? Because of the irony? WRONG!) I loved it.

This has been word vomit.

All work and no play makes Meagan turn into Jack made me laugh OUT LOUD.

With earthquake fascination you will LOVE Strong Motion. Get from Claude tout suite.

What firm did you work at? What did you do? I ask not in Six Feet Under dipshit fan way, but because I am licensed FD.

i know you are! it's what first attracted me to you.

i worked in new mexico at french mortuary. small, unbelievably successful, family-owned and operated since 1907. i am super proud. and i was merely a night/weekend receptionist/casket closer/cross-dropping-on-ladies' chests extraordinaire. no fsp or fd next to my name.

i watched ONE ep of Six Feet Under...i heard that at something of a press conference with ALL KINDS of representatives the nation over present, the HBO dudes were like, "any questions?"

funeral parlor guy (paraphrased): "yeah, there seems to be a lot of foul language, could you tone it down a bit?"

pause.

HBO dude: "no."

hahaha!

There's nothing better

than an independent firm. What do you want to do with it? You know that Cypress College offers Mortuary Science degree?

I was lucky. I just sort of decided, oh, I want to help sad people! And started cold calling. The first place I called said that their dc clerk quit, so I started doing that. The best part about small firms is that you learn EVERY PART of it and know that The Man isn't fucking over your families. Anyway, they let me take my licensing exam. So I'm not officially schooled, but I have no intentions of embalming.

Six Feet Under sucks it. I field so many damn calls from people saying, well, I saw on Six Feet UNDER that cremains should be fine and powdery, so if there are any pieces of pulverized bone, your crematory must be outdated!!! Oh, well, then, if it's a prop on a TELEVISION SHOW WITH NO REGARD TO THE LAW, it must be TRUE!

Re: There's nothing better

oh - god - that just made me so mad. thankfully, we never received those calls. just those oh-so-hiLARious april fool's day: "yeah, i'm looking for myra mains? no? hmm."

as for doing something with it...iiiiii don't really see myself doing anything with it. i would go back and work in a home in second. there was a while there that i was really into forensic pathology, but then i quit school and now i sell water.
